The Quess GCC reports are useful for understanding how finance work is changing, provided each number stays attached to its population and observation period. A Global Capability Centre, also spelled Global Capability Center, serves a multinational organisation across locations. Here GCC does not mean the Gulf Cooperation Council. This guide examines India hiring research and proposes practical learning responses; it does not describe worldwide vacancies or guarantee an entry-level opening.
Which Quess research are we discussing?
Quess's public summary of its September 2026 non-tech GCC report records 339,200 non-tech roles in 2025. That is a multi-function India demand measure, not a count of finance graduate vacancies. The summary also says approximately one quarter of Finance, Risk and Governance postings request digital platforms, analytics or AI capabilities. The complete non-tech report was not available for detailed inspection in this review; these findings are attributed to its public company summary.

Kapil Joshi's commentary on the same report describes growth alongside contraction in some routine work groups and places 61% of 2025 non-tech demand in the seven-to-twelve-year experience band. He distinguishes measured demand patterns from an explanation of their causes. It would therefore be misleading to turn the report into a blanket fresher hiring boom or assert that AI alone caused the shifts.

A separate Quess BFSI GCC Talent Report, dated August 2025, discusses automation, exception investigation, operational controls and analytics. Its specialist engineering shortages concern different capabilities from an introductory finance workflow. Keep the two reports separate: their dates, populations and purposes differ.
Turn a trend into a learning task
The table below is Centaur's editorial interpretation, not a Quess syllabus, hiring standard or endorsement. Its purpose is to make an applicant's learning visible. Employers still set the actual entry requirements, and a fictional project should always be described as practice rather than work experience.
| Question raised by the research | Capability to practise | An observable output |
|---|---|---|
| Can you work beyond a transaction label? | Explain a process and its controls | A trade or payment map identifying sources and unresolved exceptions |
| Can you trust a digital output? | Validate identifiers, populations and calculations | A comparison sheet with control totals and documented checks |
| Can you communicate a decision boundary? | Separate evidence, assumptions and authority | An exception report with an owner to confirm and next action |
| Can you interpret company information? | Apply modelling and research foundations | A checked forecast or research note with explicit limitations |
What should a graduate check in a vacancy?
- Find the employer's own posting and record its date, identifier and location.
- Separate required experience from preferred exposure. An analyst title does not establish graduate eligibility.
- Identify the actual output: a reconciliation, a forecast, a case review, a report or something else.
- Compare your practice evidence with the requested task and identify missing tools or knowledge.
- Check shift expectations, employing entity and work-authorisation requirements before applying.
For an experienced switcher, the same exercise starts with existing evidence. Someone who has owned a reporting queue may already have examples of escalation and stakeholder communication, but still need to learn a new product or platform. A new graduate can practise source checking and explanation without claiming to replace years of specialist experience.
Three practice outputs to build next
Start with a fictional exception report, a controlled assessment case and a company-analysis note. Keep the original records, the checks you performed, the result and the questions that remain open. If an AI tool helped draft text or a formula, record how you tested it. The quality of your explanation matters more than using a long list of tools.

Keep course breadth and job guarantees distinct
Centaur's Financial Operations Masterclass includes modelling, valuation and equity research alongside investment banking operations, banking, compliance, payments and FinTech. Those subjects support different learning interests. The written agreement separately defines qualifying finance jobs, completion, participation and refund terms. Neither the Quess findings nor a practice assessment expands that agreement or proves a placement result.
